February 05, My washer and Dryer unite that I had purchased 5years prior from Sears went out and left me unprepared. I did not have that much extra cash and was fighting to keep my head above water. I tried lugging bags and baskets of laundry to the laundry mat but soon became worse than it already was.
So, I decided to rent a unit. I usually deal with Aaron but my sister deals with Rent-a-Center and talked me into going to Rent-A-Center because she also needed a new washer and dryer unite she had just moved out of my house into her own apartment and was not yet stable enough to purchase one out rite either but had done business with them before.
(Now mind you my sister stays in low income housing and I own a home in a more upper class area).
When we went in we were greeted nicely BUT I am a more
question everything type person which made my sister a little upset that I had so many questions. Some of my questions were answered but not all. I thought at the time O' Well.in the time of renting their manager was fired due to kiting checks and that brought some more questions to my mind. But what REALLY got me was my sisters unite was paid off in the beginning of 06 and mine will not be paid off till February 07 we had the same payments and same unit.
I went into Rent-a-Center and spoke to the manager and he keeps saying that 2 years was my contract and that everyone is written differently thought back that is not was told to me when I purchased the unite 2years for a washer and dryer I have never paid longer than 1 year for anything at Aaron. This is unreal.
i guess more money out of the people in better neighborhoods than in the low income neighborhoods. So as of 2weeks ago date I refuse to pay them anymore money. This washer and Dryer unit in the end will cost 2144.10
I am not paying them ANOTHER DIME and harassment on me and my kids is not going to go as easy as they think. Come to my door rent-a-center you got the right bi*!
is there any lawyer that can stop their sh* and start a class action law suit. There are too many complaint not to.
