I took one class with the University of Phoenix (UOP). I paid with my credit card. I informed my counselor I wanted to take a single course to see if the school was a good fit. Prior to the completion of the course, UOP charged my credit card for a "second" course. I immediately notified my counselor who said he would take care of it. He did not do anything.
I ended up getting sent to an academic counselor who tossed me to a finance counselor. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and won the dispute. The credit card company reversed the charge. On the 4th of July - UOP charged my credit card again. Upon contacting them again, I was told my the academic counselor the following: "Due to an internal reorganization, Angel and I have not been your counselors since June 1st. Your new Academic Counselor is Eric Burton and the Finance Counselor is Amanda Hall. I have forwarded your email to
them." Insurance companies are notorious for shuffling around there staff in hopes their claimants will give up.
I will not give up. I plan to escalate this issue to every government and private entity I can. I have close contacts with my state senator.in summary; WATCH OUT!!
