Complaint / Review
Copeland Marketing Corporation
Ripoff Did not honor money-back contract

I was contacted by Copeland Marketing by phone after I responded to their solicitation on the internet in October or November. I was told that Copeland Marketing would sell my time share and take their fee of $400 out of the sale. I was in over my head with a time share I did not want or need so I agreed to this "no risk" deal.

I had to give them information about my checking account in order to get this service, and subsequently found that the fee had been deducted from my account up-front. On contacting Ray Kuhn, he led me to believe, and so did the contract, that I would get my money back if it was sold by them or another entity.

Last year, in July, Sunterra Corporation, who handled my time share account, returned the previous two payments and foreclosed on the property. I subsequently contacted Copeland Marketing for a refund and they gave me a run-around reply. I filed a complaint online with the Florida Better Business Bureau, and they contacted them for their side of the story. They sent me the results by U.S. Mail and told me there was nothing else I could do.
I feel I was scammed, and want my $400 back.
