Fraudulent invitation to participate in a 1 million dollar sweepstake Ripoff

I received the very same official looking letter with my full name and address, inviting me to fill out some information, and indicate whether I wanted to receive the prize money in one lump sum of $555,000.00 or in $33,3340.00 instalments for a period of 30 years (totalling 1 million dollars).

The letter also mentioned a different promotion where I would be required to provide my credit card details for a premium offer and securement fee of $11.89.

I already decided I wasn't going to pay this fee because I was not only NOT interested in the offer, but I'm not stupid enough to provide my card details to a company that I know nothing about.

Unfortunately, many of us have the initial instinct to apply for such promotions even though we do not provide card details just because winning a million dollars definetly sounds good; but anyone asking for card details and payments when most sweepstakes require no such thing should send off warning bells.

I have become a huge usacomplaints.com fan as well as other sites that report such scams because I ran a check on the company and found all these entries regarding this fraudulent company.

Major thanks to consumer complaints because through you, many people have saved others from falling prey to scams like these. Hopefully other people will take the initiative to check first before becoming victims of identity theft.
