WOW I truly schocked about all this!
I began the University of Phoenix program after attending a local highly respected school, and Was told that all my credits would transfer. Well this was not the case! Then it took numerous email to even hear a response.
I was schocked after working in the business field for over eight years and feel that I would have learned nothing from these classes. I ended up losing almost a third of my transferred credits! If I was aware that this amount of credits would not tarnsfer, I never would have shown intrest. I would have accepted losing one or two classes, but ten classes not transferring is totally unacceptable, and unbelievable.
Also with the steep prices of these classes, the costs associated to return to the point I was at is nearly $16,000. Also I am not satisfied with the classroom environment, and believe that it is not an effective way of learning for me, and if continued would lack the necessary knowledge in the business field. I have tried to contact the accounting department and on the requests for payement there is not even a phone number!
How do you conduct business and not have a phone number on the paperwork? I then tried to contact the accounting manager and received no response. I cannot believe they treat people like this and get away with it!
