MCI Worlcom Wireless
Ripoff - billing

I received an offer from them over the Internet. It sounded great and I sent a Motorala phone. The first phone stopped working with in a week.

I called the customer service line and had a really hard time getting anyone to answer. After I got through, I was sent to several departments until I finally got one to help me.

I was sent a new phone about one week later. When I received my first bill from them, I noticed that I was being charged for calls on the days that the phone was not working.

I called Customer Service and again had an hard time. I asked to be let out of the contract because they did not live up to their obligations. I was told that it would cost me $250.00 to cancel the contract.

They removed some of the charges, but not all. My husband was then contacted by an individual agent. He was given a much better deal and nore upgraded phone.

When I called to see if my phone can be upgraded, I was given the run around. My next bill came in and I noticed that it was higher than the first and was charged for calls that I thought were free according to the plan.

Again I called in and explained that I was to get free long distance and was charged. I was then told that I got free long distance but I was over my minutes so I was charged for the minutes. I asked where this was stated in the contract. They could not tell me where.

Our bills were getting out rageous every month, so I called to see if we could upgrade our plan. I was told that our bill was not current and had to wait until then. I was sending these people over $100.00 a month for both mines and my husbands bill.

One day later, after speaking with the Representative on the phone and letting her know that a payment was just sent, his phone was cut off. After calling the Customer Service Line, he was told that his account was pasy due and until the received the payment for $100.00 the phone would remain off.

I called back to the Customer Service number and questioned how could this be. I was told that if you don't pay your bill in full, that the next months bill had to be paid in full plus 1/3 of the past due balance. Now, how can this be? The phone stayed on the previous months and now this month they want to turn it off.

I asked why we were not told this when we called 2 days ago and was this noted on our account. I was not given a straight answer. It was noted that I called, but it was not noted that I was told that the phone would be disconnected.

Again I asked why and was not given a straight answer. I also asked where was this noted in the contract and they could not tell me. I also for a number to give a complaint.

The presentative got ready to give me a number and then decided to give me a street address to mail in a complaint. This would have been the 4th time I asked to be let out of the contract and was told no.

At this time, we are considering cancelling the contract and just paying the $250.00 fee, but I don't want to give them another dime of my money for bad service.
