Survey Scout
They're a ripoff and don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise

I was looking for some way to make extra money and Survey Scout popped up in my research. It seemed reputable and I could earn $20 back right away. I paid $35 and was directed to a LIST of survey companies.

Per their instructions, I started registering for everything. I didn't give my credit card info to anyone but most of the listed companies only pay if you participate in their 'special offers' meaning you have to buy something or sign up for a service and then they'll pay you.

Additionally, none of the survey companies that actually conduct market research actually pay cash. They pay in points that add up in your account that you can trade for merchandise or you are entered in their sweepstakes.

I was getting 7 to 15 survey offers a day and I completed all of them. I was noticing I was getting more and more junk mail even though every company says they will not sell my info when I register. I was getting about 150 emails directly in my 'junk' mail box daily and I was sorting thru about 40 junk emails in my dedicated mailbox. One weekend I went out of town and came home to over 500 emails in my junk mailbox.

I started unsubscribing to these junk emails.
THe junk mails were NOT surveys. They were direct advertising asking me to buy merchandise or shipping for free gifts that I was always being asked for my credit card info.

Guess WHAT? I am no longer receiving surveys! I am now getting about 1 every other day. HMMMM!

After dedicating days and days, hours and hours to registering (over 50 companies), completing countless surveys (I was qualifying for about two-thirds) averaging 30 minutes each, reviewing emails and offers, I have not been paid ONE CENT. I have points in a couple of accounts but cannot redeem them until they reach a minimum amount (After 8 surveys with one company, I accumulated 300 points - you need 2500 to cash out $10.00)

Finally, that $20 Survey Scout offered for signing up? They are for some company called DININGDOUGH. The listed restaurants are not in my area and you have to spend at least $40 in order to use it. And the restaurants I have heard of, aren't very good restaurants.
