Summary: Company failed to meet the scope of work and production schedule outlined in a legally binding contract. Pre-meditated FRAUD is suspected.

1. Contracted with Cranky Editor/Tamar Love Grande 06/13 to edit 650 draft manuscript pages. As outlined on her impressive website "www.crankyeditor.com" and per the written contract, Tamar Love Grande was to review the manuscript drafts for readability, organization, logic, other elements of craft, and make suggestions for improvement, and also perform a thorough copyedit for style, punctuation, grammar and spelling.

2. The work was to be completed 08/10. As of 11/21, the work has not been completed (75 of 650 pages have been edited).

3. On 08/22 I requested a refund due to breach of contract. Tamar Love Grande refused the refund request, stating that she and her husband have "a lot of bills" so she wouldn't be able to refund my retainer fee any time soon.

4. On 10/30, I requested a refund once again. Tamar Love Grande replied: "I am a human being who has had a lot of very bad things happen to me in the last three years, and I'm about ready to LOSE MY MIND from it. I do not have [paid leave from a regular job] to support me right now. I have to rely on the kindness of my clients. I replied that I would be seeking legal remedies against the company, as it has been four months and she has failed to meet the terms of the contract.

5. Tamar Love Grande wrote back, stating: I am blocking your email address and will not speak with you again for any reason. Should you try any of your "scare tactics" on me, I will sue you for harassment, plain and simple.

6. Filed a Better Business Bureau complaint on 11/02/05. Received 27-page response from Tamar Love Grande on 11/21/05. She had edited and created emails that were supposedly sent from me to her, showing that I agreed to the constant delays and that I basically agreed to give her $1500 for not performing the work.

7. Tamar Love Grande / Cranky Editor / www.crankyeditor.com is a SCAM and should be avoided.
