Beware! In looking for employment I responded to a news paper add saying that after completion of a new car salesman course there was a job waiting for you at Wright Pontiac in Wexford, PA. THE PREFERRED MARKETING & TRAINING company had been hired by this car dealer to screen and train people to be car salesmen.
To be trained, you had to pay PREFERRED $549 but this cost would be reimbursed by the car dealer after you were there for 3 months. We also had to sign a student contract which said that PREFERRED's fee was non-refundable and that they had made no employment commitments.
I asked PREFERRED's owner and training instructor KEN PREFLING how he could be so sure the 7 of us would be hired. He said that Wright Pontiac need all of us and could use more. Then he added that if we were not hired he would give us our money back.
Even though the interview went well with Wright they decided they could only use 4 new salesmen and took the first 4 interviewed. I called PREFERRED and talked to their placement director SANDY McCELLUND who said she new all the car dealers in the area and would get me other job interviews. Well, with the current car sales market no one is hiring. I called SANDY again at 724-444-1331 and now find the number disconnected.
