Kevin Trudeau - Mega Memory - Howard Berg - Mega Reading
Misleading advertising, waste of time, ripoff

I purchased this program years ago, and only recently found this website. I paid over $100, although now it's advertised at $60. I bought it because of Howard Berg, who was actually rated the faster reader in the world by Guinness. However, he was most likely born that way, and did not develop his speed through this cassettee/book product. Kevin Trudeau, a marketing genius (if unscrupulous) jumped on the opportunity.

I can sum up the method in three words: Practice reading faster. That's it. It takes six audiocassettes and one video to teach you that. I'm serious. That's the main secret. Of course, they go on and on (and waste time) talking about preparing and prereading and everything else you can get from a basic book on speed reading you can buy for $10 and not have to listen to, but then, that's how they justify charging $60 for what is essentially already in the public domain.

The most laughable part is that Kevin Trudeau goes on and on on one tape about how eating shellfish is bad for you and other personal opinions he has about how to improve your health, concentration, memory, and reading. How bizarre.

In sum, a waste of time and money. I would avoid all Kevin Trudeau products, as my brother-in-law bought several, and I realized they are simply a rehash of information already available through decently-priced books. Note that Kevin Trudeau was subject to a class-action suit from the FTC regarding false advertising. Too bad they couldn't get him for bad products.
