Hello, I had the same encounter as most everyone else with the exception of a couple different offers. This occured on 10-05-05. I have been looking into a Grant and it seems that most of us are in the same boat. The things that were offered were the 12500.00 and 500.00 in groceries and 1 month free Long distance service.
The amount of 49.95 was given after the account numbers had been taken and like a Fool I really fell for the deal. So when they say it is too good to be true it never fails that it is. Then the red flags went up and I emailed my bank. I really knew that it wasen't up front when around 8:00pm they had called me back and wanted me to verify somebody elses information. So I waited until the earily morning on the 6th to contact my bank.
After they had brought a Fraud Spec.in to speak with me and I had written 100% of the info. Down. For this I am Greatful. They said that they had not seen this since 01-05. And the Canadian Mounted Poliece had contacted them about a Scam from there area. It was almost a relief to know that I was not alone. So the info was reported to the states required.
The People had very poor English and spoke in an Asian Language of sorts. The first person to contact me was a Woman and then that evening it was a Man and I cannot remember the name something like Tom.
There was no Info given to me about how to get more info about this offer and when the asked me to Read and they would Record some one elses personal ID for Verification It really Scared me and my first thought was who will be reading my info to the Verification Department.
I wish I had thought before I had answered one question about if I knew anyone else who may be intreste in this or a simular program. Thank Goodness I did because if it wern't for her I would have been totally ripped off. She was who showed me this link and everybody I know now has the info.
I hope this will help others stand up and say NO MORE. The People affected don't need the Hopes and Dreams Stolen away from Fradulent Situtauions. Lets All Stand Up and Catch These Groups.
