I had a very similar experience to Angel in Seattle. I received a call from a woman with a very heavy Indian accent who wanted to send me vouchers for free airfare/hotels. She kept saying that she had to be sure they were sending it to the right person but it would not cost me *anything*. But then she started talking about my bank, as if that would confirm my identity somehow. When I finally told her the name of the bank (she was *very* persistent) she read the routing number for it back to me (I recognized it). When she asked for my account number, giving the same explanation and reassurances, I categorically refused to give it to her. Finally I said Look, I am not going to give this to you, so if you need to have it, this conversation is over. She hesitated and I hung up. When I called the 800 number she had given me, it was answered 'Your Choice.' Clearly they are ripping people off.
