We live in Australia and my mother received a letter from Loteria Primitiva stating that she had won the sum of $USD 615,810.00 and to provide her bank details on the 2nd page (via facsimile) so they can deposit the lump sum. And to contact "Lucas Sanchez", the "foreign service manager". It also stated that they would get 10% of our "winnings". Whatever!!!
I thought it was dodgy from the start by looking at the paper used. It was just ordinary printing paper and was colourless, ie, black and white. One would think a company like that would have better paper to use with colours etc.
I also looked at the envelope it came in - the stamp was Spanish but it looked like it had not been stamped over otherwise known as cancelled out (which is usually the case when it reaches the post office). And the envelope was ordinary.
Where was their privacy statement and ABN (as required in Australia) etc. Nothing. Don't these guys have anything better to do. W* (or in Spanish - 'P*')
