I'm sorry to be finding out of all the reports against poetry.com just now after having ordered two books which supposedly contain two or more of my poems, should have known it was a scam.
It's been a long time since I made the order 10/11, while today it's 12/23, it goes to a total over 140 usd, which, by the way are not easily spent by me since I'm in a hard financial situation, but the thrill of thinking that someone had selected my poems to be published was just too much. I hope I can receive some help, since the only way to get in touch, or at least supposedly, with these guys is via telephone, but I've had no luck and gotten no answer. There's no reply to any of my e-mails and I have the invoices I received on my e-mail, but no one to complain to in order to get a refund or in the worst case scenario, the possible books.
I hope I can receive some help from your end or that reading this makes people think twice about submitting their poems to this website (www.poetry.com) and more than anything, giving them no money at all.
Thanks and hope to hear from someone soon. My financial situation makes this way too painful.
