I got a call this morning from a man with a heavy accent who called himself "Danny Turner" and said he was with the Fed. Gov. I couldn't help wondering why, with all of the controversy re: out-sourcing, the government would blatently do it themselves.
The next thing that made me hesitate (though I wrote down some info, just in case it was legit) was the fact that he asked for my bank info, and when I said that I wasn't going to give it to him without talking to my husband and checking things out a bit and he turned into a salesman.
My husband and I are in sales, and "Danny Turner" tried to close my objections with the most canned responses. WHY WOULD THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAVE TO TRAIN SALES PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES TO GIVE AWAY $8,000???
This is the 2nd time in two weeks that someone from another country has tried to scam me and my husband. The least they could do is make up names for themselves that are a bit more convincing.
