We have been ripped-off by Defender Direct/Protect Your Home. We thought we were dealing with ADT, however, the "Protect Your Home"/Defender Direct ads are deceptive. We fell victim to these people and were deceived. We paid a great deal to have a system installed. The system has never worked and was imporperly installed. We have not been able to get Defender Direct to come back to fix it. After months of back and forth, we had a scheduled appointment to fix it and Defender Direct was a no-show.
After months of problems, we finally got an ADT person to come to our home to see the system and they had us disconnect the system because it was intalled so poorly he told us it was a fire hazard. The wall units are loose and the system has never functioned properly. After many, many calls, I was finally able to speak with the local Defender Direct manager on his mobile phone and he laughed at me arrogantly and told me that they are not planning to fix the system and we will never get our money back.
