My husband and I just recently got out of the army. He has a really good job and we wanted to find a nice house to rent for our three kids and us. We are looking to move to the Springfield area. We have been staying with family until we find a place.
My husband made an appointment with Mindy for 4:00 to sign a lease for a house. She had told him that we were already approved for the house. Where we were staying was two and a half hours away.
We have a four month old brand new baby girl and had to make the trip with her in the car also. When we got to the rental place it looked run down and a seedy-looking motel was conjoined with the property. Karla answered the door and it smelled like dog poop in there. It was dirty and the man who was in there was upset because he wanted his money back from the place he had stayed at was dirty. He was upset so they locked him outside.
It was a Wednesday and Karla seemed like she had checked out of work for the week already. She did not seem like she was really wanting to rent houses or do anything. We sat in some broken chairs we were told not to sit back in because they were broken. The whole office smelled.
Even though my husband makes 4,000 a month and could prove it, they told us we were not approved and could only afford a three bedroom house, (which is not big enough) and then the lady who we did not even have an appointment with said they would meet us back at 6:30. We said we would go eat and come back.
She never returned.
We sat in a car waiting for her with a small baby and she never came back. Neither one of these ladies has any work ethic. They do not want to rent houses. This was one of the worst experiences with a reality company my husband and I have had. My poor daughter was exhausted by the time we got back to my families house. I would not reccomend anyone renting from these people. They are lazy and unethical. They lied to us about being already approved for a house and had already checked out of work for the week even though it was only Wednesday.
We never even met the lady named Mindy we were suppossed to have an appointment with. She obviously never even checked into work. I wonder what they would do if they had to be soldiers. Wow.
