Rohit Parbhakar Sales Rep Breach of Contract

You get an e-mail..."You're pre-approved for 2500$ and we sell furniture now" (affiliate of The Brick). So you take a look and yeah... I can use a new mattress and box spring, they have the brand names... So I look into it. After some inquiries..."Free 15.6 inch laptop with a mattress purchase" hey even more interesting! So I move forward asking all the questions etc... But no you can't buy a bed online without trying it.

A little fishing and yes only the Brick has this exact one (this is how I find out they're related) and decide to guy see one in person and try it. At The Brick I am informed yes they are affiliated, but that Sealy was on sale last month and they offer this month's special from the Brick. After trying the Sealy, I agree it's worth while and call back MDG rep Rohit Parbhakar and back to the pricing.

Originally June 6th I was told the 1st time that it would be $1801 total then told $1510 total if I didn't take the laptop (which turning out to be a very bottom end AMD model) which wasn't worth the $291. After my trip to The Brick and calling him back, I mentioned all that I discovered with pricing, quality etc... And was interested in the mattress set without the laptop. He then sends me the contract by email with the terms and pricing... This bed is now $1165 total which is
pretty much the price of the bed at either place which begs me to wonder how does the "Free laptop with any bed purchase" work? Anyways, June 11th I go through the process, signing, faxing, etc... And get a call back June 12th from Rohit that they need to process my payment before they can send my mattress set, which I tell them go ahead, no problem.

June 12th another call from Rohit asking me to send him a copy of my bank statement showing my payment went through... That way they can send my order faster since they are with the CIBC and I have RBC and would take 2 to 3 days for them to get the payment lol What??? I found this rather strange since a PAD system gives you a report of when and amounts... But I send it anyways. June 13th a call from someone at MDG asking me to confirm the amount that was debited from my account.

Again, I find this strange but give it to them anways. June 14th another call from MDG, this time to setup payments, etc... And "oh, btw we need a second phone number" I answer I don't have 1, I was then told "All companies require 2 numbers" lol I informed her I was not a company, just an individual and no law states I need 2 numbers let alone a company requiring 2 numbers lol I still find that funny. Was then put on hold... After 10 minutes I got tired of waiting and finally hung up... 10 minutes after that they call back (I guess I'm supposed to wait the 20 minutes)

I ask when is my mattress set supposed to arrive (I assumed it was on it's way the 12th or 13th after those calls indicating that) she continues with the 2nd number. I informed her again, she then says I should then give someone else's number incase that one ever gets disconnected. I laughed and said "Lady, I've been here 21 years and you have my e-mail. She then says if you don't give me another number I will have to call your sister or friend you listed as references. I found that funny too and replied "So now you have your 2 numbers, I expect my mattress set by wednesday at the latest and hung up.

I then informed Rohit by reply to his last email to me about this rediculous service and reminded him, of the signed and dated contract, that payment that was taken which I am sure is illegal to do prior to reception of merchandise on "pre-approved" by them. Along with "Free Laptop. That if my order was not received by wednesday (based on his own time frame for the order with confirmations etc...) that this can be a matter of False Advertising, Breach of Contract, etc... He then called me right away, went over it quickly and he said he will call me back in 5 minutes. That was at 1:35PM I am writing this now at 3:45PM. I am wondering if anyone else has had this type of BS problem with this company and would like to hear from you.
