Failure to stand behind faulty products

My wife and I bought a Green Machine at by Bissell. After using it for about 30 minutes it started to leak and did not produce any heat. We did not use it as soon as we purchased it. It was about 2 weeks after we purchased it. Because it left us in the middle of a job and because of our work schedule we didn't have time to consult with Bissell customer care center so we just bought another unit. That unit was junk also. Now with 2 three pound hunks of plastic in my house that I paid $180.00 for I decided to try the Bissell customer care center. What a joke! They wanted me to drive the units 80 miles each way to a service center to be repaired. Due to my job I am hardly ever there and due to gas prices I didn't think it was appropriate to drive 320 miles to get my sofa cleaned. That would be 160 miles to drop the junk off and 160 miles to pick the junk up. After speaking with Bissell customer care center which I could barely understand and to which I waited almost 20 minutes on the phone to speak to a live person I was given nothing but a run around and a shafting for my $180.00 spent. They did everything they could to avoid the inevetable by sending me 2 new machines. When I inquired who the general manager was of Bissell their response was they were not allowed to give out that information. OOHH! Big secret. But, then again if I was a theif stealing from the general public through such stores as Walmart I wouldn't want to be identified either. Don't buy Bissell products ever. Rip Offs!
