This company posts an ad on Craigslist for office manager / office assistant. When you go in for the first interview it is very informal and brief in a very small and dingy office. Within 2 days I was called to come back for a second interview. This second interview turned out to be with about 30 other people, all being promised the same position.
After this "interview" they tell you that you have to be there daily from 9 til 12 for training. When asked about being paid for training they stated that they did not have to pay you since it is not 4 hours.
They go over many aspects of the business and answer questions regarding how it all works. They then promise to show you the perfume and allow you to meet with other people who they have already set up in their own stores. They promise that if you are the top of the class you can own your store instead of just managing it! None of this materalizes! We were never allowed to meet anyone else. It was always convient that the people stopped by while we were gone. The perfume is promised to be the same designer brands as the main stores. Of course it turns out it is knock-off perfume but you do not know that until you have already promised it to friends and family!
Then they tell you that your first job is to sell as much perfume that night as possible. This is suppose to be a contest and they are suppose to pay the winner $2500 if the team sells a certain number of bottles. When our team all turned in our orders we were told that we did not win because we didn't sell enough bottles, even though when we consulted outside of work we figured we more then beat the requirements.
After week one is done, week two begins with planning an event. They expect you to plan a full event to market their product using your own funds for everything from advertising to location and food. They make sure to mention you have to have 2 events prior to graduating from training and going to your location along with selling a mandatory number of bottles.
There are only 3 people that work in the office and you never meet the people who supposed graduated before you and are driving fancy cars and making amazing money. There were two people who were in training stating they had been there for 13 and 11 weeks! For a 2-4 week training course!
This company is a complete scam. They make you sell their products and turn in all the profits to them and never pay you. They hire about 20 people per week so every week they are having that many more people selling their products and making them money. This company constantly switches names and phone numbers and should be prosecuted for this scam!

This company cost me a very good job along with a lot of money wasted in time, gas and daycare, not to mention my reputation for selling knock-off perfume and they should be prosecuted!
