I purchased a bedroom suite 2 years ago with a 3 year in house service warranty. While mopping the floors I shifted the bed frame to clean under the bed and the bed fell apart. The bedrail split away from the headboard. A piece of wood from the headboard sheared off causing the rail to drop to the floor.
When I called the company to file for a service call they sent someone under their coverage to inspect the damage to conclude if it was a manufacturing flaw or damage from misuse. The person who was sent to inspect it barely looked at it and determined it was damage from misuse. When I called to complain about the report I inquired what they meant by "misuse" and was told it appeared I moved the bed causing the damage.
I told them yes I had moved the bed to clean and if they are suggesting that their products can not be moved after placement then they should tell the consumer that is what they can expect, once placed do not move the furniture!
I suppose this company choses to stand behind inferior products rather than their customers. I warn you do not get taken by them as i did.
