My husband, John Coker, and I bought a GE Washer from a local dealer, Stewart's Appliance, and were urged by that dealer to get an extended warranty of five years for the price of $159.95, which we did. The washer is not working and needs to be repaired. This is well within the extended warranty period. I have called the service number on the contract (800-930-3986) over twenty times, day and evening, but always get a busy signal. Once my husband called during non-business hours and there was an answer saying to call back during business hours, but there was no option to leave a message. I have written a letter, recently, on January 9, to which I have not yet received a reply.
