Opened my pool last weekend (27 foot round 6 ft deep). Adjusted PH, Alkalinity, CH, shocked and added algecide. Pool was really cloudy (couldn't see bottom) so I decided to Floc it (the fastest way to clean up water). My regular store was out of their Floc so I went Leslies and bought a bottle of their Floc agent. Put 3/4 of the quart in the water with pump running. Shut off pump after 3 hours. 3 DAYS later pool is as cloudy as it was before treatment. Went to Leslies with receipt and what was left in the floc bottle and asked for refund because product does not work. WELL I was shown the fine print on a peice of paper taped to a pole. Apparently Leslies will sell you all the chemicals they have but if they are defective TOUGH they will not give a refund. Then I get into a heated discussion with the manager about the use of the product. I told her that I have used Floc for years in commercial and residential pools and that the stuff they were selling does not work. She starts to try and tell me that I needed more of this crap to do the job. Come on really I used 3/4 of a quart when the directions on the bottle said use 1/2 a quart for my pool size. So I guess she wanted me to buy another bottle so when I come back and tell her that it still doesn't work she can point to her little sign and say " policy is no refunds on chemicals". What a joke I left the partial bottle on the counter and then went around to all their customers and told them about Leslies Floc and return policy.
