After complaining, for several weeks, to several employees at American Vision Windows we thought that we were going to get the newly installed defective windows replaced. Mike Jackson and Jim came to our home to inspect the defective windows we had been complaining about since the day they were installed. We didn't complain on installation day because we were not allowed to stay in our home. They had removed all existing windows at once and all the furniture was pushed to the middle of each room. Since we were having all of our windows replaced there was no place for us to sit. All rooms were under construction. It was after the installation crew left that we found six defective windows that opened the wrong way. There was also damage to the window seals. We immediately contacted Jack who sold us the windows. He didn't help us. Next we talked to Maurice who even came out to the house but, refused to help us. Then we talked to Angie several times. We got the same response - no help! Finally Mike, Angie's husband called and made an appointment to come out. He brought Jim with him. Jim was the person who measured the windows for ordering. Both men walked around the house. We showed them each defective window. Jim remeasured the windows to be replaced. They said that they would have to ordered the new windows and that it would take 6 to 8 weeks before they could come out to replace them. Jim even promised to repair a damaged window seal. They apologized for all the trouble. And, they asked us not to make a report to the Better Business Bureau. Today, 11/15,16 weeks later, they still have not corrected the problem. Please do not trust these people. They lied to us and they will lie to you. Go straight to the Better Business Bureau. They already had 2 complaints there.
