We moved out or the Mooring Apartments in early January. As of April 26 we still have not received our security deposit of $100. This is I know a small amount of money but based on other postings on Internet it seems to be a policy of Greystar. They are the property management company over The Moorings and are located on 3411 Richmond Ave Suite 200.
The office staff are nice but totally unresponsive about this (and many other issues while a resident).
According to Texas law covered under Tex. Prop. Code SS 92.102 along with many rulings I believe The Moorings has acted in "bad faith" by not returning the deposit.
My recourse is to file suit in small claims court and to advise any client of Greystar to consider doing business with someone else. And of tenants of any Greystar managed apartment - look elsewhere.
