CHRISTOPHER & SON MOVING & DELIVERY'S Payment for Services Not Completed

I am writing this article to make others aware of bad business dealings from a guy named Christopher Williams from Christopher and Sons Moving based in Wilmington MA (and doing business out of Nashua NH also). I found him on the NH Craigslist web site under movers.

I paid a large sum of money to Christopher Williams from Christopher and Sons Moving for a bad job that was delayed, made a mess of and never completed by him.

I am a homeowner that hired Christopher & Sons Moving to move a shed. Christopher Williams assured me in many phone conversations that he could and would disassemble the shed, move the shed in pieces to my property and then reassemble the shed. We agreed on a price ($1400) for the complete job before I purchased the shed from the owner.
Once I made the purchase, I met with Christopher Williams at my home and gave him a $500 deposit to start the shed move. After I gave him the deposit, I could not get ahold of him for three days. This should've been my first clue but I was optimistic and believed the excuses he gave me about him switching phones after I finially got ahold of him.
The job was to have taken up to 4 days. Two weeks after our meeting and the initial deposit (in which he was to start the work the next day) and many phone calls by me that went unanswered to him, he agreed to bring "some" of the shed to me. Upon him bringing lass than 1/3 of the shed to my house, we renegotiated because he listed a slew of excuses of why it was taking longer than planned. I gave him another $1000, for a total of $1500. He listed every excuse from the weather, to bees nests to car trouble, phone trouble, mileage to the job (which he knew on day one) and that the shed was so well built it was taking longer to take apart. On the day I gave him the additional $1000, he assured me the enture shed would be on my property the next day.
Three days later I get calls from the previous shed owner asking when the shed will be removed from their property. The owner says the yard is a disaster with shed pieces all over the yard and trash everywhere and sshed iding blowing down the street.
After many phone calls to Christopher Williams, many go unanswered again and when I finially get him on the phone he assures me that by the end of the current week (one full week had already passed since I had given him the additional $1000) the shed would be off the current owners property and onto mine.
That did not happen and by the end of the week I had called Christopher Williams again to ask him what happenned. I again got excuses and another promise that by that weekend it would be done.
After that last conversation, I NEVER HEARD FROM Christopher Williams again. He does not answer my calls. I blocked caller ID when I called once and got his wife on the phone who explained to me that the number I dialed (the only # he gave me) was her cell phone number he uses for business on occasion. I left a message with her and then over the last week have called numerous times per day, leaving a message each time. He never returned a single call.
I ended up paying for the move of the shed twice, to another mover to get the job done right. The mess that Christopher & Sons Moving left for me to clean up was astounding. They ruined much of the shed when they disassembled it and DID NOT disassemble it correctly so that it could be reassembled. They cut the walls into 3-4 foot sections so they could fit it into their box truck instead of leaving the pieces just large enough to transport with a trailer, so as to retain the structural integrity of the building. They had the shed in pieces all over the yard and trash all over the yard. I could have hired high school help that would have done a better job than Christopher and Sons Moving.
To make matters worse, the homeowner told me on two occasions that neighbors would repeatedly see a truck from Christopher and Sons Moving in the yard where the shed was being disassembled, by nobody working. The homeowner suspected Christopher Williams and the help he hired were going into the house to hang out, so he made sure all windows and doors were locked.
