Had 4 bedrooms and the living room done by Empire, while they were installing the salesmen gets hold of my wife and starts selling her a new kitchen floor (which we needed). The salesmen gives us a price but doesn't mention the subfloor. So I ask him about the subfloor which he proceeds to say "that will be an extra $1000". Which at this time I tell him I'm not interested. He then comes back after talking to his Sales manager with a firm price and tells my wife and myself "$3900 firm because of how much work you've just had done" we ask him "so no mater what happens the price won't change", he says "no". Then like a jerk I fill out a load to pay for the floor using Wells Fargo, which is supplied by the empire salesmen.
The job gets completed on March 4th, the installers put in a subfloor. On April 13th I get charge to Wells Fargo $800 for the subfloor. The same subfloor that was promised to be included if needed.
I never signed for the subfloor, never approved the subfloor, the salesmen tells the company that he never said the subfloor was included.
End result, don't use this company very shady sales practices.
