My wife and I were looking at purchising a new home and stopped in to Select Homes in Asheboro. We have no experiance in the modular area so we wanted to get some different ideas and ask some basic questions. The man there acted anoyed that we were taking up his time and just gave us the keys to "look Around yourselves" When we got back to his office he gave us a price on a home "turn key" then told us to go to there Mocksville location.?? It was like he didn't want to help and just wanted us to go away!!! We did make the trip to Mocksville the next weekend and looked at some other homes. Again they gave us what they made it sound like a "Turn Key" price. We ended up signing the papers and assuming we were done. That's when the problems started. The price changed over and over. They took over 6 months to finish the home and we had told them before we signed ANYTHING that we needed to be in the home in less than 90 days. I would understand if the weather was bad but during the time they were "working" on our home the weather was great. I just feel like we were lied to from the start. I'm happy with the home builder but not the company that sold it to me.
