I have kept up with this website from time to time and seen all the complaints filed by numerous people owning Richard Fuller Homes, most of which seem to be in my subdivision in Park Glen. I have to say that none of them really surprise me. Our experience with the building process, follow up on warranty issues, and just poor workmanship done by those who built our house has been negative to put it mildly.
I am an understanding person, I don't expect things to be "perfect" as a previous sub-contractor complained, but I do expect that if I am spending upwards of $150,000 on a house it be done properly! I expect to have things done correctly the first time and if they aren't, I expect them to be fixed.
You have already read all of the problems others have had, and ours have been the same. We have had drainage problems, a/c problems, we still don't have everything fixed from our final walk-through list (we closed in February). But, recently I have come across yet another bit of information.
Upon recently trying to refinance our house, we discovered that there is a lien placed on our house by the drywall company. For those of you that don't know what that means (as I didn't) it means Richard Fuller did not pay them for the work they did in our house, and therefore, they have placed a lien against our house to get their money. The neat thing is, you won't have any idea that there is a lien on your house until you try to refinance it or sell it. Now, we have to get Richard Fuller to pay the drywall company before we will be allowed to refinance. And I suspect it may take a while, judging by how quickly everything else has gotten taken care of!
Just wanted to warn you! So, current Fuller home owners, I know others in our neighborhood that have had the same problem. You may want to find out if their are liens on your houses! Buyer Beware!
