This is NOT a good company to do business with. They take advantage of single mothers with disabled children.
I have waited since Feb '09 for an accessible bathroom for my daughter. Finally, in May, the foundation was put in. Since then, water has accumulated, mold has grown, no fencing was placed around the construction site, subcontractors were not paid, I was lied to and the subcontractors were lied to.in addition, within a month the foundation began crumbling.
Anytime Tom Ratz was questioned, he insisted he was on the up and up — NOT! I fired him 7/29/09 and about 10 days later, he contacted me to let me know he was going to be by the next day with more concrete to "fill in the hole" — apparently he forgot that he needed to put a drain and some tile in the hole first. I told him he was fired and he immediately told me he had a contract with me.
Apparently, this guy is made of Teflon because the insurance is in another subcontractor's name who hasn't even been allowed on the job by Tom!
Look at the BBB complaints, he doesn't respond to ANY of them. That should give you an idea what a loser this company is.
I am a patient and understanding person but I feel the need to notify anyone who is even CONSIDERING using them (Ex-Tream Con-Crete or Ex-Cellent Con-Crete (his new name) to contact me directly. I've got pictures.
He uses a Chicago address, an Aurora PO Box, but he actually lives in St. Charles, IL.
