I had purchased an I-Heater from Top Ten Imports with high hopes of an efficiant way of heating a space. The advertised heater claimed to heat an area of 1500 sq feet. I was excited when it arrived in the mail just in time for the cold Michigan winter. I had plugged it in and opperated the heater as per instructions but after several hours of continuous opperation I was growing leary of its capability.
After days of running, the heater was clearly a joke. My living room is merely a 10 by 10 room and combined with our furnace set at 65, still had to blanket up even with the heater maxed out at 80 degrees.
Unhappy with the product I had called customer service and demanded a refund. Top Ten Imports answer to this was a merry-go-round from one opperator to another opperator wanting to repeat my story or had being placed on hold for extream amounts of time. After of about four days of this treatment, I was promised a call back from a manager.
I was called back by a manager some time later promising a refund then went on to explain shipping instructions for the return of my heater. UPS did pick up the heater and I was given a confermation that the heater was signed for back at Top Ten.
I then waited for a few days to see a credit back to my card that never came. I called customer service again looking for my credit. I was then informed by customer service that they did not do refunds but exchanges only. I explained what was promised to me by the manager to customer service but didn't want to hear my case thus beginning the merry-go-round effect all over again.
I made a dispute with my credit card company but to my surprise was challenged by Top Ten with policy papers that were not obtainable to me as the cunsumer and because of that, I lost the case and I am now out the 279 dollars with no product in my hand.
My advice is to stay away from this company! It is 100% fraud. Top Ten employees are extreamly rude and difficult to talk to. I wish I would have found this sight before I made the purchase I did.
