We purchased a garage door from Fireside Supply / Hebron Ct.in May and almost immediately started experiencing problems.
Problems were ongoing and finally in December the door came out of the track upon opening, damaging top panel and second panel underneath. Fireside was called (one of many calls) and a Fireside employee was sent to our home and stated that our door was not a high quality door and probably will never work correctly.
We asked the owner to come look at the door, hoping that he would replace it and make things right. He would not even return our calls. His solution was to again send his employee, this time with a $600 bill and a replacement door opener.
We confirmed with the manufacturer, that the damage and
problems we were experiencing are due to an improper installation by Fireside Supply. This was confirmed at first through photos that we sent to them, and finally through an on site inspection. They provided a letter confirming these facts. They also cofirmed that the original opener was just fine.
We have since called Fireside and also sent them a certified letter in an attempt to resolve this matter. To date there has been no response.
We are hard working people who feel plain and simply "Ripped Off."
