I called BMY today to get a quote to change some locks/hardware in our office.
I told Gil that I needed the hardware for 4 interior doors changed to ones that had key locks. I also told him that I had to get the entire thing approved by my boss.
He quoted me $45 per door for the hardware and a $39 service fee. I asked him, do you mean a $39 fee per door? He said No. I said only one $39 fee to do all of the doors? He said Yes. I asked over and over again are you sure??? I went over the prices with him 3 times, repeating it over and over again, are you sure that is all you charge? He repeatedly said Yes.
Well, he failed to tell me that there is also a Labor Fee of $160!!! How do you NOT remember or NOT mention that there is a Labor Fee?
They guy who came out to do the work said "Oh, they never tell you the real price on the phone". What the hell is that?
They completely misrepresented their company and purposefully left that detail out. I understand that they may not have known what the labor fee would be, BUT they should have told me there would be a Labor Fee!!! I told him I had to get this approved by my boss! So because of their deception, I got in trouble.
Do not call this scam company - Use someone local. I wish I would have!
