UNiversal Timeshares is a SCAM, plain and simple.
They charged my parents $1,350 to rent their timeshare in orlando, florida.
THey went so far as to send her a list of marketing materials and prospective renters, along with information about how the unit would be rented and for what amount.
A year later, they have done nothing. Every time we call their "office" we get the run around, from computers being offline to executives being in accidents and unable to answer phones.
It has become apparent that Universal Timeshares is engaging in fraudulent and illegal activities.
Since then we've filed claims with the following:
Florida Division of Land Sales, Condominiums, and Mobile Homes
Orlando Sheriffs Department
Attorney General of Florida
Better Business Bureau
Marriott Vacation International
Federal Communications Commission
An Orange COunty Deputy Sheriff investigated and found there to be no active business at the address listed on the company's website. It is their belief that this company is a Scam and their police report proves it.
The Division of Condominiums referred the case to the department of agriculture which oversees travel related companies and related economic crimes. They have an open investigation as well.
Visa is refunding all monies the company charged to our account and they are doing a further investigation as well.
We can't stress enough that this company is a scam. DO NOT send them money.
