Went to them to buy stair parts and was blown away at the price. They charge 3 times as much as anyone else in the area. A simple red oak box newel cost $300.00 dollars can be bought at Home Depot for under $200 or any other trim and stair company. Their metal balusters are marked up about 150% more than what you can buy direct from who they get it from. I also found out that the installation price quoted, the installer only gets half of what is listed. That is enough to make me wonder the quality of the install i would have been getting.
The guy that installed everything for me worked there and said that they charge walk-in customers an additional 25% mark up on any order placed. As opposed to someone that has an account usually gets a 15% discount.
After talking to a few other builders I found out that they never meet their deadlines for getting things done. And use excuses about not getting the material in time when actually the material was used on another job. Make sure you get other bids on jobs to show them if you still decide to use them.
