Trugreen ruined my lawn (or never actually treated it, which resulted in its ruin.) This is my email t them after all other attempts to get them to do the right thing. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
Dear Mr. Williams,
I received your response from the Better Business Bureau (case #93D1-AB2%), and first I would like to say that your records are not accurate. I called much more than twice but my requests for a manager to come by were ignored, I also spoke with 2 different women about my lawn problems when they called to sell me other services, I spoke with 2 men who called to sell (one right before I filed this complaint) and I spoke with 2 salesman who came by my house after I fired you trying to get me to come back. I told every one of them the problems, and the 2 men who came by I actually SHOWED the problems to.
I fired you because you destroyed my lawn and because it became abundantly clear that your company management doesn't care about customers complaints, all you want is to get as much money out of your customers as you can get before the customers realize that you're a scam. When people finally see the truth of what your rep told me just before I fired you. That there is nothing that I can do to save my lawn, prevent the weeds or save my Sago palms from dying. This was a brand new lawn when I hired your company, and after your company ruined the lawn, most of it looks as bad as the old lawn did...
It's funny that when you were selling me your services in the first place you can do all those things, but in fact you didn't mean it. Since you have chosen the path of bad customer service by not making things right for me, I will let you know what I will do to make things not right for you. You will find that simply refunding me all the money I paid your company would have cost you less money than making me more upset is going to, but that was just another bad decision on your part.
I have already begun speaking to those in my neighborhood who use TruGreen and letting them know of my bad experience with your company, one neighbor has already decided to fire you because of our discussion (you should hear from them soon if you haven't already). You should start doing the math because this bad decision will be costing you possibly hundreds of customers.
I intend to continue convincing everyone in my neighborhood to cancel their business with you, and then when I'm finished here I will stop at any house where I see a TruGreen truck performing service and tell that homeowner about my experience with your company destroying my lawn. At this point I feel that I went above and beyond in my patience with you, and I feel that homeowners deserve to know the truth and be protected from you.
In addition I intend to file a complaint with the Florida Dept. Of Agriculture (Division of Consumer Services), The Attorney General for the State of Florida, The FTC (since TruGreen is a national company, and websites like usacomplaints.com. I am also sending this to Dennis Sutton the President of TruGreen so that he is aware of how business is actually done in the field. I thank the BBB for pointing me in the right direction on where to file complaints.
I will utilize my freedom of speech to its fullest and protect my fellow citizens. I may have to pay for another new lawn, but just maybe your company will learn a lesson on how to conduct business where you put your customers first instead of only thinking about how much profit you will make. I'm very sorry that you chose to disregard my complaints and make me even more unhappy than I was before, but it is what it is. Good luck in your future and take good care
