Thieves, arnold johnson and chris at autumn ridge nursery strikes again

This is one of the most unethical companies I have ever come across. After ordering over $350.00 worth of plants and spending hours planting and months caring for them they are either coming up the incorrect variety or they are dead. The customer service manager, Chris, is rude and obtuse and the owner was even worse.

After over 20 hours of planting items from the Autumn Ridge Nursery I have waited anxiously for months for my new roses to appear.

The double knock out roses are some sort of white rose, the climbing iceberg roses are a yellow rose, and the PG Hydrangea are some random bush I can not identify.

I ordered (8) Rugosa Roses and only received (6). I called the nursery the day I received my package and never heard back, however, 4 out of the 6 are showing no sign of life and have been cared for the same as all the other plants. I have also seen no sign of life from the Climbing Colette Rose and the 4 out of the 6 Bonica Rose. The roses listed above have not shown any buds at this time and for obvious reasons I am concerned that they may also be the incorrect variety ordered.

I spoke with Chris on 7/14 and he informed me that they stand by their products 100% and would offer to send me replacements next year, Spring 2009. I explained that this was not acceptable. He said he was not authorized to offer anything else and that the owner, Arnold Johnson, was the only other person I would be able to speak with. He also informed me that he was on vacation and they did not have voice mail or e-mail. I sent a letter on July 14th to Mr. Arnold to request a complete refund on the items listed.

Once again, after spending 20 hours to plant the items and providing months of care for them finally to bloom and be the wrong items is more than frustrating. It shows extremely poor handling of the products and poor business ethics to take a customers money and send the wrong product and not offer a refund.

I am a full time working mother of 3 children. Waiting until Spring 2009 to possibly rectify this situation is not suitable. I am requesting a full refund to my credit card. I do not want to wait a year to receive new plants and spend another 20 hours of planting and months of waiting to see if by chance the correct items were sent.

After speaking with Mr. Johnson on July 21, he informed that he has no control over what his growers send him and in turn sent me. However their website states "We guarantee our plants to be true to name and color."

I have now done research on this company and have found this is how this company, Chris and Arnold Johnsons operate. I have read hundreds of reports similar to mine. Do not do business with this company. They are thieves.
