My sister recently had a pool built by Nautica Pool & Spa. The spa was made with low quality spa jets, resulting in low water flow and no air bubbles.
The autofill/overflow was installed to low, so the pool is never filled to the correct level. The overflow line was run out into the yard and cut below ground level, resulting in a constant washout.
The equipment was not installed corectly with no checkvalve between the heater and the chlorine feeder, voiding the warrenty.
And lastly, my sister was told she needed to pay an addisional $400 for extra rock used in the deck border and spillover from the spa into the pool. After speeking to the sub-contractor who said never used any extra rock, and the origanal rock was included in his sub price. I also know that Nautica has used this same practice in the past so that he could have extra spending cash for the weekend.
