We purchased two chairs along with the Stain Safe warranty in April. We filed a claim and received a response from Stain Safe on Dec. 3 that the parts would be delivered in 8 to 12 weeks. My wife began calling the middle of March to find out what was happening with our chair. She called every week since then and was told that it wasn't the store it was Stain Safe, or it was being handled by the main office. When she called the main office, they were waiting on the warehouse, or they were waiting on the store to ok it.
At any rate I finally got involved June 13 after my wife could not get any where with them, and they started the same thing with me. I told them never mind just give me my $149.99 back that we paid for this so called Stain safe warranty. Again more run around. Finally I was told that the owner would call me on Sat. June 14, that they wanted me to explain to him what was happening. He Didn't call.instead some lady calls and wants to pick up my chair. They conveniently had the part (fabric) All of a sudden after seven months of run around. I told them we had passed that point, and that I did not want any more to do with them. Just give me back my money. After all if I accept at this late date all I get is another 4 years of having to deal with them.
Today June 16 the owner (Curt, or at least I am told he is the owner) finally calls and in short says I will not get my money back because I have used the service already. I say no I have only attempted to use the service unsuccessfully.in my opinion this company is only interested in making the sale and not taking care of the customer unless they are pushed to do so. From the day we bought the chairs to today they have mishandled everything.
1) we never recieved the Stain SAfe kit like we were supposed to when we purchased the so called service.
2) Even though we filled out all the paper work to register the product befor we left the store, when it came time to file a claim. No one knew anything about it, there was nothing on file.
3) After receiving the letter from Stain Safe that we would recieve the reqyuired material to fix the chair in 8 to 12 weeks, we continuosly got the run around from Emily's furniture about the repairs.
4) After we got to the end of our rope and asked for a refund on the service they obviously were not going to honor. They miracuosly had the had the materials and wanted to pick up the chair.
5) After Curt (the supposed owner) finally called two days later than promised, he is very brusk on the verge of rude and says that I have allready used the service and therefor will not recieve a refund. I have not used the service.
6) The company is unwilling to admit that they dropped the ball on this and make things right by us.
Bottom line buyer beware when you deal with these people.
