We went to Havertys on the word of a friend, we have been looking for special bedroom furniture, we walked in and was greeted immediately and shown the bedroom furniture right away, we thought this matched, we went home looked at the furniture it had to match, it was very close. We decided to get it, went back and ordered it, we where then told it would be 6 weeks to get it and was given a date of April 17th, of arrival. I called on April 15th to verify it was ready for me to get picked up. The Salesman said he had to double check and would call me right back, 20 min later I called and was told he was with a customer, could I leave a message? I said no and for her to get him, I waited about 5 min then he came to the phone said the furniture would be in around the middle of May. What, no it is to be here, then I get a song and dance about they ordered to many and the manufacture could not keep up, (not my problem).
I sent an email to Havertys and they forwarded it to the store. The manger calls and gives me a song and dance about how the sales person was new and how she reviewed his book and we where promised 6 weeks and it has not been 6 weeks, since April. No I ordered it in February, not April (if you are going to make up something you might want to get some facts). She talked for 20 min on how this company was not a fly by night company, (can't prove this by me).
The manger said you can come in and get something else and she would give me a discount, well if you had something else I would have gotten it then.
I would never give this place a dime of mine, and I also told her we where looking to refurnish our house (true) but now, not with them.
