We are a contracting company that was hired by Cornerstone to install a driveway at one of their homes.
We install the driveway in August. And still have not been paid. I left numerous messages over these 7 months and have never to get a return call back.
I contacted the homeowner that lives in the house where we did the driveway and they are having problems with the house and Cornerstone has never resolved their issues either. The homeowner also told me that "Cornerstone Home Builders" a/c guy has "learned" to get paid up front or he won't get paid. She also told me that the plumber was owed a few thousand dollars and they wanted him to come back and finish the job but he refused until he got paid for the work already completed. They did not pay him until he threatened to sue. Which was many months later.
This company operates under 6 or seven different names/companies.
Love homes, green briar marketing and management, blue mountain rv, old turnpike village, 8180 rv park, and Lawrence Higgins is the owner. If you call the phone number for the accounting office they name all these companies on the answering machine. 610-398-7881.
I finally found out the woman that signs the checks is Roberta and to just ask for her. Don't tell them who you are just ask for her if they owe you money. I'm not sure what days she works, but I did eventually talk to her a few weeks ago, and she said they don't have the money, "you can't get blood from a stone" was how she put it. She couldn't tell me when I would get paid. They owe us a little over $3,000 and never paid a dime.
The job was completed the homeowner loves it and there is no problem with the job.
We hired a lawyer to take them to small claims court, I will update once I have any new info.
If i were thinking about doing business with any of these companies,!!! Don't!!!
They have all kinds of people on the payroll that answer all of their 7 or eight differrent phone numbers, have more than one office location, but the say they don't have any money, to pay us.
It makes me sick that they can get away with this, or it has to cost me money to get the money I am rightfully owed for a job well done.
