The Room Store
Is SHADY At Best sold a lemon of a couch and from what I read, its not the 1st nor the last

Hi, I bought a new couch and love seat from the Room Store on 9/4/07, paid more than $1000 for the piece of junk too, what a sucker I am...

Within the first week, it began to sink. I contacted them, it took untill 12/13/07 before they sent out a tech to look at it, he said the coushions need to be replaced, remember, this is a brand new couch. They came out finally with the replacement coushions on 1/8/08 at which time we said, these new coushions are so much fluffier than the old ones, and that it would look silly for the love seat to have different style coushions, the tech agreed, and said the coushions on the love seat would be replaced as well.

The tech finally arrived 2/21/08 more than a month later, to replace the love seat coushions, at which time we pointed out that the couch was sinking again. The tech agreed and said someone would contact us, as of today 2/28/08 that has not yet happened, so I called them, they told me there is nothing else they can do, that it is normal wear and tear. Again, I point out this was a brand spanking new set. I sit on the couch less than 2 hours a day, I agued the statement and said I wanted it fixed, they transferred me to a manager named Tim Walters (corporate office) and he proceeded to hang up on me, I have called back at least 6 more times today, and each time have either gotten hung up on, put on permanant hold, or sent directly to Mr Walters voice mail, at which I have left 3 messages, and have yet to hear from him. I called the actual store too, and the manager there hung up on me too. It seems no one in the whole company wants to deal with it.

My In laws also bought a sofa, love seat, and chair set from them a year ago, it has since broken down as well, and they are having a similar struggle. I also want to point out that for the set begin sinking within the first week of having it, is not normal by any means.
I am told that Tim Walters who can be reached, or at least his voice mail can at 602-268-1144 - the customer service # - by the way, What customer service??? / I have yet to recieve any. I got the info for the owner - or at least the best I could get, its an "Owners Comittee" and you have to write them, (I did that today) the address is 3011 E Broadway Rod #100 in Phoenix AZ 85040 and there is an executive assistant named Brian Harsh, but oddly enough I was not let to speak with him, they would rather I publish here and at 3 on your side, which by the way I have also done, anyway, I am told that Tim Walters is higher than Brian Harsh, so why he is named an executive assistant is beyond me, does he not assist the executives? Well that was a dumb question, of course not, that is why I was not let to speak with him.

Anyway bottom line: dont buy from arizona room store, their stuff is junk and their customer service is non existant.

I just wish I had checked here before I bought from this shady company. Be assured, I will tell any and every one I can not to buy from this getup.

I once saw a dissatisfied customer have their message not to buy from a company painted on their window of their car, maybe I will look into that, it seems effective in getting attention - if nothing else helps to loose customers for the company they call the room store. What a racket.
