As with other ripped off consumers, our order for shutters and blinds was placed in December. Blinds finally installed in February with a promise shutters would be forthcoming. Wrong. As with other consumers we were given the story of "stuck at the port", "delayed in customers", "partial order received", etc.
Sent a demand letter for refund of deposit through an attorney in June. No response. My neighbor filed a small claims action and the owner did show up to the hearing. The owner produced documentation that appeared to show Deccolux owed the complainant substantially less than claimed. Waiting to hear judge's decision. We will be pursing small claims action. But if the firm files bankruptcy???
