Linders Furniture failed to deliver my order and did not cooperate on cancellation Ripoff

I placed an order with Linders furniture for a TV, TV stand, sofa set, side and end table. The payment qualified for deferred payment if we signed up for their credit card, but we had to pay the sales tax and delivery up front. We signed up for the deferred payment plan and paid the required fees up front.

They delivered the TV stand as scheduled, and we set a delivery date for the TV at about two weeks out. The furniture was on back order for a couple of months.

The TV was never delivered on the specified date and time in which I wasted my time waiting for the delivery. After calling the company they stated their was a mixup and at that point we set another delivery date a week out. Once again I waited all day for the delivery which never arrived. At that point I cancelled the order. They said they would refund my payment of delivery fees and taxes and reduce the deferred payment loan. The did partially reduce the deferred payment plan for the furniture and TV but failed to refund the taxes and delivery and a $70 amount on the deferred payment. After a number of calls to the store location talking to all the reps and the manager at different points in time, every time they assured me they would resolve the matter, but it was never resolved. I finally filed a complaint with BBB. About three weeks later I received a call from a representative from the corporate office of Linders who assured me she would refund my credit card charges and reduce the deferred payment plan. After a couple of follow up calls to her, she did eventually refund my credit card charges, but the deferred payment plan was not corrected. I was still overcharged by $70. I continued to call the representative but she had transferred to a different department and I was introduced to a new lady who took down my information and told me she would correct the problem. She never corrected the overcharged amount and I am unable to reach her. I have left numerous messages and never receive a call back. Matter of fact, I cannot get ahold of anyone at the corporate offices of Linders when I call. Very frustrated, I filed a second complaint with BBB and have not heard back from Linders. At this point I do not have the time to devote to pursue them for $70, but feel extremely ripped off and abused by their poor service. I want everyone out there to know not to purchase from Linders unless you are carrying home your purchases that day.
