T&D applied siding to trim on stucco home 10 yrs ago. 7foot by 4ft area of stucco buckled and fell off house.
Another Contractor informed me reason stucco deteriorated beneath surface and fell off was because when siding attached, a watertight seal was wrongfully applied. This sealed water in and did not allow for water to run off from behind stucco. Contractor should have known proper way to attach siding to stucco, as I paid in full for their "expertise" assuming they knew the proper technique. I had no way of knowing that my stucco was dissolving behind the surface until it fell off!
Tim J of T&D hung up on me, was rude (ie "Listen Lady!"), then did not return my calls. Would not tell me if sent men to inspect; said he was going to report to insurance. I never heard anything.
I reported to BBB and he demanded I produce MORE contractors to prove my point. Wisconsin has limited # of metal/lathe contractors in area for me to contact. I was requesting some type of inspector to view the damage but nothing happened. (Anyone can go online to research stucco to verify that space is required to allow water to run off and not build up behind stucco. Stucco is cement and water dissolves it. I have pictures of the seal job T&D did, and px of damage. I still have the hole in my house and the whole side is buckling and I
got absolutely nowhere with T&D. Beware of t&d!!!
