On 6/10/06 I purchased some furniture from Carolina Sofa Co. The salesman assured me that delivery would take 6-8 weeks. The delivery date came and went. After numerous unsatisfactory calls to customer service. I finally went to the store.
The Salesmanager tried to sell me the floor sample, which I refused. He then told me that delivery would be on 8/17-18/06. That was a lie. The Better Business Bureau is no help and I have yet to hear from The North Carolina Dept. Of Consumer Protection.
The Customer Service Manager finally called and sarcastically informed me to read my contract. I feel that as a consumer I have a right to cancel a contract if a company is not dealing in good faith.
The bottom line is that this store now has $3.280.46 of my money and 3 months later have not delivered the furniture. North Carolina is considered the furniture capital of the world. Where is the law that protects consumers from fraud? How long does a customer have to wait, 6 months, a year? They flat out refuse to refund my money.
