The Lee Thompson Co
Incomplete and overall poor work for an A/C unit and ductwork

Around May, I obtained a quote from Chuck Ward from the Lee Thompson Co to have a new HVAC unit installed at my new home.

The quote included (verbally) a new compressor, new air handler, new ductwork, and a few other things that "would" assure a proper cooling/heating system.
After three months of constant emails and telephone calls, I cannot get them to send a manager to evaluate the poor work performed.

They promised me new ductwork, which I assumed (as any other person would) that they would replace all the ductwork up in the attic. They replaced half of it and the rest is still the original. The house was built in 1979; there are air leaks all over the old duct and even the new one because they did not seal them properly.
I have been battling with these people for three months now to come and fix/correct/complete what they were paid for with no success.

Now they are claiming that we did not pay them "enough" to have the whole ductwork replaced, when I was promised it in the original quote. It is not my fault if their techs quoted me less than their competitors' quote to assure that they would get the bid. What mind thinks of having a halfway done job? Why would they think that just half of the ductwork would need replacing?

They did send some people a couple of times, but they never fixed anything. Now Chuck wnats to charge me $600 to add two more vents upstairs!!! Not necessary by any means. The compressor was leaking freon until one of their techs "Jim" (the only pleasant person I talked to there) came and fixed it.

I have not even mentioned that they left tons of garbage and old parts up in the attic. They did not even clean up.
I requested an invoice from them several times and I have not gotten anything yet. Is that good practice?
There are several other issues within all this mess, but

I cannot enumerate them all in writing.
BTW, the compressor's capacitor blew up two or three weeks ago... Brand new unit and it is already blowing up.
I am not pleased with their work and much less with the attention (or lack of) I have perceived from them.
