I attended a partylite candle party on 4-30. I ordered candles and paid with a check. The party was in Pittsburgh, PA
I know from previous parties that it takes 2 weeks to receive your candles. After 2 weeks I called my friend who held the party to see where my order was.
My friend said "Michelle Britner was waiting for more orders from another party to place the order."
This made no sense to me. But I trusted my friend and said I would wait patiently.
On 6-22 our check had cleared our bank and had been cashed. I figured at that point the order was finally placed. So I waited 2 weeks to get my order.
When I called my friend to see where my order was, I was told that my check was cashed, the money had been spent and we are not getting our candles.
Paula Morris is the company representative from Partylite who was training Michelle Brittner. All checks and cash payments were made to Paula Morris forged by Michelle Brittner and Michelle has spent everyones money.
Now I am trying to retrieve my money or my order and also everyone who was ripped off. A total of $210 was stolen from trusting customers.
I have contacted Partylite on this matter several times with very little satisfaction.
At first Yvonne at Partylite said that she would return my call on 7-11. I am still waiting on 7-12 to hear from Yvonne.instead she contactd my friend who held the party and informed her that she will need receipts and proof of payment slips from all party guest.
Unfortunately my only receipt is my cancelled check which has forged signatures by Michelle Brittner. I lost my original receipt, After all it has been 2-1/2 months
You would think Partylite would make this matter go away by sending the candle orders to its paying customers and then deal with Michelle and Paula themselves.
Instead, I have to report Michelle to the police and the bank and write this bad business report about Partylite and there bad business practices.
