Bob Foley at Foley Pools was our sales person. He told me the company surveyors of our backyard are top notch and would note any and all slopes of my yard without fault. I expressed concern upfront because Hobert pools (I compared 2 companies) told me the surveyors were wrong. Bob ultimately convinced me Hobert Pools was dishonest and untrustworthy and had multiple bad reports on them... And that the surveyors were correct. There were 3 areas of concern soon after construction. Bob and the construction manager, Ben Allen, told me there was nothing they could do to resolve the issue and that the 3 1/2 foot exposed wall on the backside of the pool would have to be something I'd have to live with. This was to be a part of the pool where it was even with the groung (called ground zero). This is yet to be resolved. (I will provide a link with pictures soon)
MAJOR ISSUE #2 and the worse of it all because of the deception and lies! Ben Allen called me last week and stated he couldn't do a sink at the outdoor kitchen and that Foley's stopped doing them! I said, "it's on your plan, one is described, and there is a picture on the drawing of one". I called his manager, David, and he told me Ben shouldn't have told me that and that Ben had forgotten to plumb for the sink! He asked that I be patient with him and he would find resolve. He had Bob call me on (4 days later) June 27th and tell me that if I wanted a sink it would cost me an additional $1,000! He said the City of Allen won't allow them to plumb sinks to drain into the deck drains like they once did and that the new code of Allen wasn't priced into the plans. FACT: Foleys has NEVER been allowed to drain sinks into the yard and Bret McCullough (chief inspector of Allen) said it's always been code of Allen that a sink gets drained into the sewer lines like all other sinks! Bob Foley is obviously the one who can't be trusted.
ISSUE #3: The outdoor barbeque grill got delivered and it was the smallest one they make. I told Bob it was a 3rd of the size of the one in the picture we had as part of the paperwork. 3 times we had verified with Bob the size of the grill prior to signing. Now they are telling me if I want the larger grill, the one in the picture, I'd have to pay and additional $850! Lies, deception, and a cheat is how I'd describe Bob Foley. I tried reaching him at 1:45 PM June 27th and he kept hanging up on me, finally telling me later that if I said anything derogatory (I had threatened to file a report) I would live to regret it and the pool would be haulted. Now we're stuck at ground Zero... Or is that 3 1/2 higher than what they call ground zero?
DO NOT employ FOLEY CUSTOM POOLS to construct your pool.
