Ripoff dishonest thief help put out of busines liar NO customer service

We recently moved from Arizona to Pennsylvania and needed to buy an entire house ull of furniture. I hate to shop, so this was a BIG chore for me. My husband suggested this store because he has used it 25 years ago for a bedroom set and it went very smoothly. Mr. Wolf has 100's of catalogs and you find what you want and he orders it for you and supposedly gives you a discount.

I discussed with Mr. Wolf and his designer (both say they have been in the business for about 20 years each) that I wanted a natural and GREEN kitchen table and a WHITE bedroom set. I also needed 2 box springs and 1 mattress. They showed me pictures in a catalog that SHOWED GREEN and WHITE furniture. Mr. Wolf promised a the bed would be delivered in 2 days, the dinette in 2-3 days and the bedroom furniture in 4 weeks.

EVERY delivery was a hassle. They didn't show up when they said they would. They came unexpectedly. Everything was delivered later than promised. The bedroom furniture was about 3 or 4 weeks late.

The real problem was the furniture is NOT what we ordered! We ordered GREEN and received BLACK. We ordered WHITE and received YELLOW. The mattress was so bad that I rolled into my husband when we tried to sleep.

After each delivery we called, faxed, email and wrote to complain. The only time Mr. Wolf responded was to tell my husband he would send out a better boxspring that we never received.

After about 10-12 attempts to contact Mr. Wolf, I called my bank and put a stop payment on the final check. I also called the credit card company, Discover, and filed a dispute. I also send Mr. Wolf a final letter telling him he had until a certain date to pick up his furniture before I donated it to St. Vincent de Paul. It is my understanding that using a credit card helps to protect the consumer from unscrupulous merchants. If you went into a restaurant and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and they brought you a hamburger should you be expected to pay for it?

He never called. He did send a delivery company to pick everything up but they came with only a 1-hour notice.

Have you ever pulled out a pair of socks and couldn't tell if they were navy blue or black? Then, you put them next to black pants it becomes obvious what color they arethey either match (they are black like the pants) or pop out that they don't match and are navy. I did the same thing to the furniture. I held something black next to the chairs. This should have made the green pop out and show a contrast. However, it matched. Next I held up a green purse and the black color popped out of the chair even more obviously. The bedroom walls are painted yellow and the color blended in. It was awful. I now have WHITE furniture and it looks as it should.

Mr. Wolf is fighting the credit card dispute. He states in his letter to them that There is no such finish as pure white. This is a lie! Please visit your nearest furniture store! There are many bedroom suites in pure white. Mr. Wolf also states that he sent the credit card company a color copy of the catalog picture showing white furniture-not yellow. My point exactly! I ordered white and received yellow!

The furniture that was delivered is not White (as ordered) but Banana Yellow. I wrote that the color was not white but yellow on the delivery receipt. I realize now that I should not have accepted the furniture, however, I have never had this type of problem before. I was upset that the furniture was the wrong color, especially after waiting SO long! I was home alone and the deliverymen were quite big and tough looking. I felt intimidated and nervous. I was expecting my master bedroom furniture to be delivered that day and when this arrived I was totally confused and flustered (and disappointed it wasn't the furniture for MY bedroomin anticipation, I had stripped the bed and moved the furniture we had borrowed).

Mr. Wolf promised our complete satisfaction. When we had problems with the first delivery I tried numerous times to contact him and he was never available and refused to return our calls, faxes, emails, or letters so that this could possibly be resolved. He left us NO choice but to contact our credit cards and get the charges reversed.

To show how dishonest Mr. Wolf is he supplied the credit card company with fraudulent invoices. Our real invoices were handwritten. He mailed Discover typed invoices with new termsno returns, delivery charges, and restocking fees.

Mr. Wolf claims in his letter to Discover that for sanitary reasons, bedding is not returable. (his misspelling) Mr. Wolf NEVER mentioned in writing or even verbally that bedding wasn't returnableonly that we would be completely satisfied. Several other furniture stores advertise that if we didn't like the beds, for any reason, that we could exchange them for another set with a $100 fee. If we couldn't return the bedding, why did he pick it up?

I should not have to pay re-stocking fees or delivery charges for furniture that was not what was ordered or promised. He was the one to suggest the furniture I ordered. If he knew it wasn't white and green, why would he suggest I order it?
